The Whiteheads || Family Portrait Session

Thursday, August 18th, 2011

It was an extreme honor when Amanda and her family asked me to photograph them. I have know the Whiteheads for over 20 years and remember first meeting Amanda at an IG (Interaction Group) that her mom, Dee, hosted at her house.  Dee past away a few months ago and Amanda’s dad wanted to bring the family together and have a “formal” photo done.

If you have followed my work at all, you have probably seen Amanda on several blog posts in one of the many plays I have photographed over the years. I wanted to have a “fun” session so I choose Old Town, Lansing. Here are a few of my favorites from that session.

Marissa – The Epic Bridal Portrait Session!!!

Sunday, August 14th, 2011

Anyone you knows me, knows I LOVE Bridal Sessions!! I have been shooting Bridal Portrait Sessions for over 25 years and they never get old!! Bridal sessions are about the Bride!! The sessions  usually run about two hours, but often the sessions will take that much time and more! It is a great time for the bride to get a test run on her make up and hair,  and see how the dress and shoes fit. Many times my brides will ask for a few photos from the session so they can take them to their stylist and/or hair dresser on the day of their wedding for a point of reference!

I couldn’t have asked for a better session!! Marissa is a beatiful bride and her dress was gorgeous! I glad we had time to photograph every aspect of it!!
